Cody Ford and Micah Hyde questionable in Friday Buffalo Bills injury report

The Bills could finally have their full starting offensive line.

The Buffalo Bills, marginally healthier as a team, can expect to have almost their full roster available for Sunday’s game at the Arizona Cardinals. In Friday’s injury report, specialist Taiwan Jones (hamstring) and linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips (quad) were the only players ruled out, while Cody Ford (ankle) and Micah Hyde (ankle) were listed as questionable to play.

Both Ford and Hyde are truly questionable situations. Ford battled his way back from a knee injury only to sprain his ankle early against the Seattle Seahawks, and he was a limited practice participant on Thursday and Friday after missing Wednesday’s workout. Hyde, who hurt his ankle on Thursday, wasn’t able to practice at all on Friday. That said, if any member of the Bills has the skill and savvy to play on a short week, it’s Hyde.

In related news, the team placed Del’Shawn Phillips on injured reserve Friday afternoon. This being his second stint on IR, Phillips won’t be able to return again this season. Matt Milano still won’t be able to return to action until after the Bills play the Los Angeles Chargers, but Tyrel Dodson (hamstring) has missed his minimum three games, and would be eligible to play this Sunday if activated.

Many other players appeared on Buffalo’s injury list, but were all full participants in Friday’s practice, and didn’t receive an injury designation (meaning they’re full-go for Sunday). Most noteworthy are Mitch Morse (concussion), who is set to return after a week off, and Josh Norman (hamstring), who is back in action for the first time since Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs. In fact, the Bills could have a fully healthy offensive line and secondary for the first time this year, if everything breaks their way on the weekend. The full list of “good to go” injured players from the week:

  • Josh Allen (left shoulder)
  • John Brown (knee)
  • Jon Feliciano (back)
  • Jerry Hughes (foot)
  • Mitch Morse (concussion)
  • Josh Norman (hamstring)
  • Tre’Davious White (ankle)
  • Brian Winters (knee)
  • T.J. Yeldon (back)
