The Buffalo Bills kick off this afternoon at 4:05 p.m. EST against the Arizona Cardinals. That means that we had to wait until 2:30 for the team to release its inactive list rather than the standard 11:30 release. That might not mean much to many of you, but for my “honey-do” list, it really throws things out of whack!
As for the Bills this week, there were few surprises on the inactive list today. Most of Buffalo’s moves came earlier as a result of cornerback Josh Norman’s positive COVID-19 test. The only big names in question were safety Micah Hyde, who is active for this one, and guard Cody Ford, who is inactive.
Here is Buffalo’s whole list.
QB Jake Fromm
Nothing to see here, as a healthy Josh Allen and Matt Barkley means an inactive Jake Fromm on game day.
RB T.J. Yeldon
Even with Taiwan Jones out, the Bills have Yeldon as a healthy scratch. He missed last week’s game with a back injury.
RB Taiwan Jones
The special teams ace and emergency running back is out with a hamstring injury for the second straight week. Wide receiver Jake Kumerow was called up from the practice squad again to fill Jones’s role on special teams.
G Cody Ford
Ford popped back up on the injury report on Friday, and he won’t be able to go this week. Jon Feliciano, Mitch Morse, and Brian Winters are set to start along the interior offensive line. Ike Boettger is the primary backup.
DT Harrison Phillips
Another week, another healthy scratch for Horrible Harry, whose role has been usurped by undrafted free agent Justin Zimmer.
