AFC Playoff Picture: Buffalo Bills remain third in conference, but lose ground following loss

What a turn of events.

The Buffalo Bills lost a narrow game to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon and got almost zero help around the AFC. They head into their bye week looking for some good outcomes, and that’s never a good spot to be in.

The only score to go Buffalo’s way this week happened on Thursday night, when the Bills got a boost from the Indianapolis Colts. Frank Reich’s team moved into first place in the AFC South with their win over the Tennessee Titans, and put Buffalo firmly into the third seed in the AFC. The Bills lost and the rest of the top teams in the AFC all won.
