The bye week is here, and the first weekend without Buffalo Bills football since early September. There is still plenty to talk about in this week’s edition of Four Downs for you to enjoy.
Getting over Hail Murray
Maybe having the bye week following a heartbreaking loss is not the best for Bills fans, but I do think it is best for the coaches and players. The extra week of rest obviously helps the team get healthier, but also gives everyone a bit of extra time to mentally adjust from the loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Head coach Sean McDermott seemed a bit defensive in his press availability early this week, which I find understandable based on the circumstances. With plenty of questions around center Mitch Morse and the Hail Mary play, a few extra days could be exactly what coach needed.
Pro Bowl voting is live
I am usually not one to put much stock into Pro Bowl selections, but this year feels a bit different. Even though the game will be replaced by a Madden simulation this year, being named to the Pro Bowl is quite an accomplishment for the players. Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Dion Dawkins, Tre’Davious White, Andre Roberts and Jordan Poyer should all receive serious consideration this year. You can vote here for your favorite Buffalo Bills.
Pod of the Week
One of my favorite listens from this week comes courtesy of our very own Bruce Nolan. On Thursday’s podcast, Bruce takes a closer look at some of the third-quarter issues that the Bills have faced this year. He also takes a closer look at the situation around Mitch Morse, and I would hope that you give it a listen.
A Guy Named Josh
There are always creative things that come across our Twitter timelines and Facebook pages, and this song is worth sharing with our Rumblings readers. Written and performed by Anna Engel, “Bills Song” is certainly worth a listen. She will join us for a future podcast to talk about her inspiration, a guy named Josh Allen.
