Buffalo Bills Fantasy Football Preview: Allen vs. Herbert has shootout potential

The young quarterbacks are firing on all cylinders

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will likely be playing in another shootout on Sunday. The latest high-flying quarterback that the Bills face is rookie Justin Herbert, who leads the Los Angeles Chargers into Orchard Park on Sunday.

Fantasy experts see this as a big weekend for Allen, as he is the consensus top-ranked quarterback for Week 12 according to ESPN. Allen has bounced back after subpar performances against the Kansas City Chiefs (Week 6) and New England Patriots (Week 8), maintaining his status as a must-start quarterback each week.

Even what fans consider a subpar performance, by 2020 standards, Allen completed 65% of his passes against the Arizona Cardinals for 284 yards and two touchdowns in Week 10. Fantasy players could have done without the two interceptions, but Allen made up for it with a receiving touchdown in the first quarter. Allen is showing no signs of slowing down as he enters this week’s matchup with Herbert.

Despite a 3-7 record, Herbert is leading a prolific Chargers offense this season. With close to 2,700 yards passing and a 68% completion percentage, the future looks bright for Herbert. If he continues to have similar success against the Buffalo defense on Sunday, the Bills and Chargers could obliterate the 53.5 over/under.

Best of luck with all of your match-ups this weekend, and go Bills!
