Despite win, Buffalo Bills fans lose confidence following Week 8

Strange.

Buffalo Bills fans have been through highs and lows, for sure, but I didn’t expect their faith to be shaken after a win. Such is the strange psyche of Bills fans. After coming in at 92% fan confidence last week, this week only 89% of Bills fans said they were confident in the direction of the team.

Buffalo held off the New England Patriots a week ago, 24-21, to take a commanding lead in the AFC East and kick a mediocre team when they are down. That follows an 18-10 win over the New York Jets. Apparently those wins weren’t convincing enough to satisfy some Bills fans.

The Patriots, meanwhile, have lost their fans’ confidence, coming in at 27%. Despite the loss, that’s actually up two percentage points from 25% the previous week. Jets fans are 14% confident for some reason after they were buoyed by their loss to Buffalo a week ago to reach a season-high 19%. Fans of the Miami Dolphins lead the division in confidence at 92%.

Fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are at 100% confidence followed closely by the Kansas City Chiefs at 99%. Jacksonville Jaguars fans rebounded from a 0% confidence rating last week but are still worst in the NFL at 7% with the Detroit Lions hot on their heels at 8%.
