With Cody Ford and Mitch Morse already sidelined, the Buffalo Bills have lost their third interior starting lineman against the Seattle Seahawks. Brian Winters has left the game with a knee injury and is questionable to return.
Update: Winters re-entered the game in the third quarter.
With Ike Boettger already at left guard and Jon Feliciano at center, Ryan Bates is in at right guard. The only Bills lineman not in the game right now is Ty Nsekhe. Quinton Spain was released a couple weeks ago. The Bills didn’t move up any offensive linemen from the practice squad this week.
The guard play immediately cost the Bills as Josh Allen was sacked twice while in scoring range before Buffalo kicked a field goal to go up 17-0. We will see if Seattle keeps trying to take advantage with some linebacker blitzes and defensive linemen stunts.
The Bills may have to move to a quick passing game to get the ball out quicker if the Seahawks continue generating pressure against the inexperienced line.
