Denver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus will miss game against Buffalo Bills

XFL: FEB 29 Seattle Dragons at St. Louis BattleHawks

The Denver Broncos will be without their regular kicker on Saturday when they take on the Buffalo Bills. On Friday they elevated their practice squad kicker after Brandon McManus was not cleared to come off the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

The 31-year-old Taylor Russolino is making his NFL debut after spending time in the XFL and Canadian Football League. He spent time in other lower levels, as well, and even kicked in the Chinese Arena Football League playing for the Shanghai Skywalkers.

McManus is 22-of-24 on field goals and 21-of-24 on extra points this season. He missed two extra points last week in a five-point win for Denver. He has kicked in Denver for seven seasons.

McManus went on the list due to close contact with someone outside the organization who tested positive. He has originally thought he’d be cleared to play in today’s game, but that turns out not to be the case.
