Ahead of their Monday Night Football matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, the Buffalo Bills have activated linebacker Matt Milano from the injured reserve list. Milano has only started in five games this year after dealing with multiple different injuries throughout the season. The team’s top coverage linebacker originally injured his pectoral muscle back in Week 4, against the Las Vegas Raiders and has been on the injured reserve for the previous three games.
The Bills did not activate fellow linebacker Tyrel Dodson, who had also been designated to return recently. Dodson has been dealing with a hamstring injury which occurred against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6. He has appeared in six games this season recording 18 total tackles and one sack.
The Bills will be getting some much needed depth back on the defense. All linebackers except for Dodson and Del’Shawn Phillips will be healthy and ready to go for the final stretch. With Tremaine Edmunds and the reigning AFC defensive player of the week, A.J. Klein hitting their stride at the right time, this defense seems to be the healthiest they have been all season.
