Buffalo Bills bench Brian Winters

Ike Boettger is in at guard

NFL: Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills have changed up their offensive line combination for their Monday Night Football game against the San Francisco 49ers. Veteran Brian Winters, who has started every game this year at right guard, finds himself on the bench, with Ike Boettger taking his place in the lineup.

Jon Feliciano has moved from left guard, where he’s played primarily this year, to right guard, his position last season. Boettger is playing left guard on the other side of center Mitch Morse.

Buffalo’s offensive line has been strong in pass protection this year, but it hasn’t been very good at run blocking all season, as Zack Moss and Devin Singletary have both struggled. With Cody Ford on season-ending Injured Reserve thanks to a knee injury, the Bills have been unable to play their anticipated best group at all this season. Boettger is seeing an extended audition tonight against a strong San Francisco defensive front.
