Sean McDermott finished fourth in NFL Coach of the Year voting

New, comments

The Buffalo Bills are worth discussing.

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott was a finalist for the NFL’s Coach of the Year Award. He was in attendance at the NFL Honors show on Saturday but was not named as the top coach in the NFL, as voted by the Associated Press.

John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens was named coach of the year after taking his team to the best record in the NFL and accumulating 27 of the 50 votes. Coming in a distant second was San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, who turned around the 49ers from picking in the top five to the number-one seed in the NFC and received 14 votes.

Grouped at the back end of the voting were Matt LaFleur of the Green Bay Packers (3 votes), Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers (2 votes), Sean McDermott of the Buffalo Bills (2 votes), and Sean Payton of the New Orleans Saints (1).
