List of potential 2020 Buffalo Bills veteran cuts

Over the last two months, we’ve been running a series of articles on Buffalo Rumblings detailing possible veteran cuts the Buffalo Bills could make this offseason. As we approach the beginning of free agency, here’s the full list as well as how fans voted in the polls.

Tier 1 - Already safe

DT Star Lotulelei
After our vote, Lotulelei’s contract was restructured. He took a pay cut in exchange for guaranteed money and will be on the roster in 2020. Before his pay cut, Lotulelei would have been in Tier 3, with 77% of fans wanting to keep him in 2020.

Tier 2 - Pretty safe

K Stephen Hauschka
Last year, 97% of fans wanted Hauschka back. While that number has dipped to 91% after one more year, it’s telling that 56% of overall voters want to bring in “legitimate competition” for him either via the draft or free agency.

OT Ty Nsekhe
Nsekhe signed his contract one year ago and fans want to see him for another year. A total of 86% of fans want to see him stick around for 2020.

Tier 3 - Probably safe

QB Matt Barkley
The Bills’ backup QB performed admirably in replacement of Josh Allen, and 82% of votes want him on the roster. There’s a catch: only 31% want him to be the only backup QB on Buffalo’s roster.

FB Patrick DiMarco
Last year, only 51% of fans wanted to keep DiMarco for 2019. Now heading into 2020, fans seem a bit more bullish on the fullback. Nearly 75% of the fans want him back including 14% who want to give him a contract extension.

Tier 4 - On the bubble

DE Trent Murphy
Last year, 84% of voters wanted Trent Murphy to stick around on the squad. After another lackluster year (at least until the last two games), Murphy’s numbers have dwindled. Only 40% want Murphy to stay in 2020.

Tier 5 - Tenuous spot

TE Tyler Kroft
Kroft was signed a year ago but his oft-injured label followed him to Buffalo and Dawson Knox exploded. Only 20% of fans want to see Kroft on the roster a month from now.

P Corey Bojorquez
Most Bills fans want the team to replace their punter this offseason. They already have signed competition at the position.
