With Tom Brady on his way to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the AFC East is now considered wide open. The Buffalo Bills have gotten off to an aggressive start for the 2020 offseason, sending pick 22 (and a combination of picks) to the Minnesota Vikings for Stefon Diggs.

While first-round mock drafts may become much less interesting in the coming weeks, there’s still plenty of talent available in the second round. In this edition of Mocking The Bills, we’re asking our readers to weigh in on which player (among those listed below) they would like general manager Brandon Beane to select.

Cam Akers RB (Florida State)

Most of the additions made to the Bills so far this offseason have been on the defensive side of the ball. In an effort to add playmakers to the team, running back should continue to be on Brandon Beane’s radar. Akers and Devin Singletary would create a dynamic duo in Buffalo’s offensive backfield.

Curtis Weaver EDGE (Boise State)

With the departure of defensive end Shaq Lawson (26 years old), and the addition of Mario Addison (32), the Bills have a need to get younger at defensive end. Weaver would have the chance to develop behind Trent Murphy, who is entering the final year of his contract.

Kyle Dugger S (Lenoir-Rhyne)

I have had Dugger as a second-round target since reading this article from Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic. The Division II prospect is an intriguing option, and has the flexibility to play multiple positions for head coach Sean McDermott and assistant head coach/defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.

Donovan Peoples-Jones WR (Michigan)

Just because the Bills acquired wide receiver Stefon Diggs via trade, it doesn’t mean the team is done adding pieces at the position. Peoples-Jones offers plenty of upside for the Bills, and would provide immediate depth behind Diggs and John Brown.
