The Buffalo Bills have selected Utah running back Zack Moss in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Moss was the PAC-10 Offensive Player of the Year.
“Mediocre athletic testing and a significant injury history are the only things holding back Moss, whose punishing running style may be exactly what the Bills want,” said Dan Lavoie.
Moss ran the ball 235 times in 2019 for 1416 yards and 15 touchdowns playing his way back from knee surgery on a torn meniscus.
“Moss is no speed demon but he brings the kind of ‘thud’ that the Bills have consistently looked for out of their number 2 RB,” wrote Max Owens on our site earlier this month. “Moss fits what the Bills will be looking to do in short yardage situations and as a guy to take some of the load off of Singletary.”
Moss will pair with last year’s third-round pick, Devin Singletary, to form the core of Buffalo’s backfield attack. T.J. Yeldon will be the third running back with Taiwan Jones relegated mostly to special teams. It solidifies what many considered to be the biggest hole on the roster.
