The Buffalo Bills earned some serious respect from the NFL community for their performances in big games last year (and the ratings those games produced). With four prime-time games, the Bills will be on a lot of television sets this fall. It’s the most prime-time games they’ve had in a year since 1996. (That’s the year Josh Allen was born.)
It appears the NFL isn’t worrying about losing games to the coronavirus, as divisional games litter the opening week schedule including Buffalo hosting the New York Jets. Then they travel to South Beach to take on the new-look Miami Dolphins. They also end the regular season with back-to-back divisional games in six days against the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.
The Bills don’t play any teams coming off extra rest this season. It’s a miracle.
The NFL built in at least two weeks of contingency plans, according to Adam Schefter. The Week 1 and Week 17 opponents aren’t the same, and because they’re mostly divisional games in Week 1, you can bump them to Week 18. All the Week 2 opponents have the same bye week, so if you need to move back Week 2, they have a common spot in the schedule to make that happen.
