We’re very nearly there! The quest to crown a single play to define the 2019 Buffalo Bills’ season has only one more stop after today. Which play will define the away games? And which will define the home* games? Let the championships begin!
As a penultimate reminder: Vote for the play that would best assist you in describing the 2019 season to someone who missed it. That may or may not be the play with the best outcome.
Away Games Championship
Josh Allen fourth-down conversion
The away games’ number-one seed advances to the conference championship to the surprise of no one. Josh Allen does his best Jeff Bridges impersonation and shows us all True Grit (sorry not sorry, it’s the better version). Coincidentally this was technically a “cowboys” vs “cowboys” battle.
Versus
John Brown TD
The number-four seed, John Brown scoring a touchdown in Week 1 kicked off a season of close games. The Buffalo Bills’ offense wasn’t dominant but did enough to pull out consistent victories. And this connection was one that came up pretty routinely.

Home Games Championship
Dawson Knox angry run
The number-one seed advances to the conference finals here as well. Voted the “angriest run of the year” by Good Morning Football, this play also screams “effort” and “process.” It also doubles as a good narrative on potential as Dawson Knox and the offense flashed sporadically during the season.
Versus
Missed sack
As the away games had a play representing the start of the season, this “home” game represents the end of the season. Thrilling finishes were definitely a narrative of the year. Few plays show a good yet imperfect team like a close call in the playoffs.
