Buffalo Bills Links, 8/11: Ed Oliver addresses offseason arrest

Plus, how rookie WRs Gabriel Davis and Isaiah Hodgins made a great first impression on John Brown.

Ed Oliver, Buffalo’s second-year defensive tackle, made news during the offseason when he was arrested in Houston on DUI and weapons charges. Those charges were eventually dropped, and in today’s edition of the Buffalo Bills daily links, we hear from Oliver, who says he felt “violated” and “guilty until proven innocent” after being arrested. Oliver candidly shares how the incident put things into perspective, then discusses how he hopes to build upon his successful rookie season in Western New York.

We also hear from wide receiver John Brown on the impact that new acquisition Stefon Diggs will have on the Bills’ offense and how Buffalo’s rookies, especially Gabriel Davis and Isaiah Hodgins, have quickly picked up offensive coordinator Brian Daboll’s schemes and playbook. Defensive end Jerry Hughes analyzes how Buffalo’s defense got better over the offseason and why he’s using his leadership skills to promote nationwide get-out-the-vote efforts, we take an in-depth look at the state of the cornerbacks, address how guard Brian Winters’s lengthy injury history will affect him in Buffalo, and much more!
