The first episode of Jamie D and Big Newt is here!
Hosts Jamie D’Amico and Big Chris Newton, a former college and Arena League football player, break down the positional battles of Buffalo Bills training camp, and how the 2020 salary cap savings will affect the 2021 cap.
It is said that competition brings out the best in football players. While the Bills’ roster has had little turnover from last year, a few positions are unsettled. Look no further than CB2, where new acquisition Josh Norman, a former NFL All-Pro, is looking to unseat incumbent Levi Wallace.
On the other side of the ball, Devin Singletary tries to hold off rookie Zack Moss for playing time at running back. On the offensive line a bevy of candidates vie for positions at RG and RT, including last year’s starting RT Cody Ford, and free-agent signing Daryl Williams, a former Second Team All-Pro.
Meanwhile, Kickers Stephen Hauscka and Tyler Bass have been inconsistent.
Eventually, though, the conversation meandered—touching on Madden NFL 21, recently spotting a Buffalo Bills Percy Harvin jersey in public, and how Bills general manager Brandon Beane is comparable to Chick-fil-A.
