Tremaine Edmunds has left the game against the New York Jets with a shoulder injury. The Buffalo Bills linebacker walked off under his own power midway through the third quarter. Per Joe Buscaglia, he was seen walking to the locker room sans shoulder pads.
Update: With 9 minutes left in the game, Edmunds is walking back onto the field with trainers. He does not have his pads or his jersey on.
Tyrel Dodson was initially the first man up in the effort to replace Edmunds.
Edmunds seemed to injure his shoulder following a missed tackle in the third (an uncharacteristically poor one at that). The Bills are already without Matt Milano, who will miss the rest of the game with a hamstring injury, and Del’Shawn Phillips. A.J. Klein is in for Milano as the team is staying in nickel. The Bills were already thin at linebacker, and three injuries in Week 1 isn’t helping.
