Buffalo Bills Fantasy Preview: Josh Allen is poised for another big week in Miami

NFL: New York Jets at Buffalo Bills Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

As the Buffalo Bills get ready for Week 2 of the NFL regular season, they will travel to take on the Miami Dolphins at hard Rock Stadium. My recommendations will look pretty similar to last week, where the Bills racked up a 27-17 victory over the New York Jets.

Allen ready for another big week

The third-year quarterback got off to a hot start in Week 1, as Josh Allen scored the third most fantasy points at the position. Allen now goes against a Miami defense that allowed Cam Newton to rush for 75 yards and two scores while completing 79% of his passes. Allen combined for 458 yards and five touchdowns (with no interceptions) against Miami in 2019, and I am expecting another good day in the air, and on the ground for him. Start Allen with confidence.

Running back by committee, with some upside

There are still questions around Zack Moss and Devin Singletary and what their timeshare could mean for fantasy owners. Both players delivered minimal results against the Jets’ stout rush defense, but they should have a more favorable match-up against Miami.

The New England Patriots rushed for 217 yards against Miami on Sunday, so I would expect offensive coordinator Brian Daboll to try and utilize his backs early and often. Both can be considered FLEX options who could be poised for a bounce back week.

Arrow up for Stefon Diggs

while expectations for fantasy experts have been a bit low for Diggs, I will continue starting him with confidence as a WR2 or FLEX each week. His Bills debut is exactly what I had hoped for, as the new addition to the offense finished with eight catches for 86 yards. The rapport he showed with Allen will continue to grow, and I expect him to continue to receive a favorable number of targets.

John Brown is also an intriguing FLEX option this week, following his Week 1 performance where he went for 70 yards and a touchdown on ten targets.

Best of luck in all of your match-ups this weekend, and go Bills!
