Gabriel Davis and Vernon Butler not practicing for Buffalo Bills on Wednesday

Two players sidelined today.

The Buffalo Bills are back to work for another week of practice, leading up to Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs. As they begin practice, at least two players won’t be working out today: Gabriel Davis and Vernon Butler, according to Bills coach Sean McDermott.

Davis hurt his ankle in the first quarter, after landing awkwardly when he failed to haul in a potential touchdown pass from Josh Allen. He ended up playing 26 of the team’s 57 offensive snaps, but was clearly hampered by the injury—he was held without a catch for only the third time this season. Butler limped off the field in the first half of Saturday’s win. He later returned to the field to gut it out for a handful of plays, but couldn’t continue playing the rest of the game.

We’ll still be waiting for official updates on players like Devin Singletary and Reggie Gilliam, who also suffered injuries on Saturday—as well as Cole Beasley and the others who were already on the injury list before the game. That information will come down the pipeline on Wednesday afternoon.
