The Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to square off in the AFC Championship Game in just around 90 minutes. While the game may be on CBS, I know that we’ve all literally followed the NBC theme song by waiting all day for Sunday night.
The Bills hadn’t ruled anyone out prior to tonight’s game, although two players with significant roles were listed as “questionable” heading into this evening. Kansas City, on the other hand, ruled out one player and have four more carrying the “questionable” designation.
Who’s in and who’s out tonight? Here are the inactive players for both teams.
QB Jake Fromm
Nothing new here.
WR Kenny Stills
While Stills was called up from the practice squad just in case Gabriel Davis, who injured his ankle in last week’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens, couldn’t play, it’s Stills who is a healthy scratch this week. Davis must be healthy enough to go.
TE Tyler Kroft
Kroft has been a heathy scratch more often than not since Buffalo’s bye week, so this is no surprise.
OL Jordan Devey
The big offensive lineman is a healthy scratch, as veterans Ty Nsekhe and Brian Winters, along with second-year man Ryan Bates, are the reserve o-linemen.
DE Trent Murphy
Last week, I said that Murphy was a healthy scratch in every game since the bye. That...wasn’t true, as Murphy appeared in the regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins. He was active last week thanks to an injury to Darryl Johnson, but he may have been activated anyway thanks to his adept edge-setting. This week, Murphy is back to a healthy scratch.
LB Tyrel Dodson
The second-year man has been a healthy scratch all postseason.
CB Dane Jackson
Buffalo called Jackson up just in case of a pregame injury or issue, but with their whole secondary healthy, Jackson is a healthy scratch this evening.
