Is Ken Dorsey the man behind Josh Allen’s emergence, not Brian Daboll?

Someone thinks so.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen took a big step from Year Two to Year Three, and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll received a ton of credit. Quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey also received credit, but now at least one person in NFL circles wants to give more to Dorsey than Daboll.

“A league source believes the Bills quarterback coach deserves more credit than offensive coordinator Brian Daboll for quarterback Josh Allen’s improvement in the past two seasons,” writes Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, who also speculates Dorsey could be in the running to replace Chan Gailey as Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator. Previously with the Carolina Panthers, Dorsey was Cam Newton’s QB coach, as well.

“Dorsey’s success with both quarterbacks could be a good precursor if he were to work with Tagovailoa — or even Deshaun Watson should Miami trade for the Houston Texans star,” continues Deen.

So maybe Buffalo isn’t out of the woods yet with Dorsey remaining on staff, though it would be tough to see the Bills allowing Dorsey to leave and go to Miami even for this type of promotion.
