The Buffalo Bills host the Indianapolis Colts today in a Wild Card matchup that kicks off at 1:05 p.m. EST. The 13-3 Bills won their first AFC East title in 25 years. The 11-5 Colts qualified for the playoffs in part thanks to the Bills defeating the Miami Dolphins last weekend.
Both teams are well coached. Both teams have tons of talent. Both teams have excellent quarterbacks. In the playoffs, regular-season records mean nothing. Each team enters the tournament with an equal shot at making it all the way to the Super Bowl.
For the Bills, the fun of hosting their first playoff game since the 1996 season is dampened a bit by the fact that less than 7,000 fans can enter the stadium today. On the plus side, today represents the first game where fans have been able to attend in person, and the players will feed off that energy.
Buffalo wideouts Stefon Diggs (oblique) and Cole Beasley (knee) were both questionable coming into the game, and both men will play today. Indianapolis defensive lineman DeForest Buckner (knee) will also suit up despite his questionable designation.
This is your first-half open thread, ladies and gentlemen. May our discussion be punctuated with plenty of (Ric) Flair courtesy of the Bills’ offense. Enjoy the day, and go Bills!
