The Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans face off tonight in a rematch from the 2020 regular season...and the 2019 regular season...and also the 2018 regular season. Buffalo won the first two of those three meetings in downright ugly fashion, besting the Titans 13-12 in 2018 and then 14-7 in 2019. Last year’s matchup went in favor of the Titans, as Tennessee laid the wood to our Bills in notching a 42-16 victory.
Last year, the Bills dealt with a plethora of injuries when they played Tennessee; however, this year’s Bills are a healthy group. That means that Buffalo’s scratches tonight are all of the healthy variety.
Which players are out for Buffalo tonight? Here’s the whole list of inactive players.
RB Matt Breida
For the fourth consecutive week, Breida is inactive. Taiwan Jones (hamstring) missed some time this week in practice, but the special-teams stalwart is active this week.
OT Tommy Doyle
The second of Buffalo’s rookie offensive linemen is a healthy scratch this week. The Bills will roll with Ike Boettger, Cody Ford, and Ryan Bates as the backup offensive linemen.
DE A.J. Epenesa
Last week, the Bills left two defensive tackles inactive since they were playing the pass-heavy Kansas City Chiefs. This week, it’s the edge rushers’ turn to go a little light. Not letting Epenesa suit up is a bit of a head scratcher, as he’s been quite good this year.
DE Boogie Basham
See above. Even though Basham has played well, he’ll sit in favor of a fourth defensive tackle on the roster. Harrison Phillips is active after sitting last week.
DT Vernon Butler
Butler’s time in Buffalo has quickly careened into Trent Murphy territory, as the high-priced veteran is once again a healthy scratch.
