Earlier this week, the Buffalo Bills announced that both Jordan Poyer and Jon Feliciano would miss today’s game against the Houston Texans. Poyer injured his ankle late in last week’s blowout over the Washington Football Team, while Feliciano suffered a concussion in practice on Wednesday.
The Bills also declared two players, cornerback Taron Johnson and defensive end Efe Obada, questionable for the game. Johnson is dealing with a groin injury while Obada is still dealing with an ankle injury.
Who’s in and who’s out for the Bills? The full inactive list is below.
RB Matt Breida
The veteran is a healthy scratch for the second consecutive week. He played a bit on offense in Week 1, but he was limited to special teams duty only in Week 2. Zack Moss and Devin Singletary will handle the offensive duties.
G Jon Feliciano
The veteran is out with a concussion, so the Bills are expected to start Ike Boettger in his place.
DE Efe Obada
The veteran edge rusher is inactive again after appearing on right around 25 percent of the defensive snaps against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He hasn’t played since. Rookie Boogie Basham is active for the first time, so the second-round pick should make his regular-season debut this afternoon.
DT Vernon Butler
The veteran is a healthy scratch this week after playing over Harrison Phillips for the last two weeks.
CB Taron Johnson
Buffalo’s nickel corner is out with a groin injury. Cam Lewis was called up from the practice squad yesterday, which foreshadowed this move.
S Jordan Poyer
The veteran is out with that aforementioned ankle injury. Jaquan Johnson is expected to play in his place.
