Four Downs: Goodbye to the bye

Syndication: Palm Beach Post BILL INGRAM/PALM BEACH POST via Imagn Content Services, LLC

Thank goodness the bye week is over for the Buffalo Bills. After a tough loss on Monday Night Football, it’s great to have Bills football back this weekend. There’s no better opponent for a bounce-back game than an AFC East rival in the Miami Dolphins. Find everything you need to catch up on in this edition of Four Downs.

Halloween with the Bills

It should be fun to see what costumes members of the Bills Mafia will have on display for Halloween at Highmark Stadium. I’m sure there will be plenty of creative pictures shared on social media, and the Bills’ social media team has already embraced the Halloween theme.

Cody Ford redemption game?

It looks like Spencer Brown will be out on Sunday, which means Cody Ford could return to the starting lineup at right guard or tackle against the Dolphins. While I’m not looking for Ford to regain his starting job, it would be nice to see an above-average performance from the Oklahoma product. The Bills have placed a premium on having solid depth along the offensive line, and hopefully Ford can at least establish himself as a solid backup at multiple positions should a starter go down with injury.

Podcast of the Week

One of my favorite listens this week comes courtesy of Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic. In addition to previewing Sunday’s game, Joe has a lengthy conversation with Tim Graham to discuss the Bills new stadium, and recent comments from the NFL owners meeting. He also previews the NFL trade deadline, in a must-listen for Bills fans.

Prediction - Bills 35, Dolphins 17

The Bills get back on track on Sunday, with a dominant performance over the Dolphins. The pass rush returns to form, with Jerry Hughes and Gregory Rousseau providing constant pressure all afternoon. Josh Allen has a stellar performance, as he usually does against the Dolphins, passing for over 350 yards and four touchdowns. I also expect a monster game from Tremaine Edmunds on Sunday.
