Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins: First-half open thread

The Bills could take a commanding lead in the AFC East with a win today

The Buffalo Bills are back in action this week, hosting the Miami Dolphins in the second of two regular-season meetings between the division rivals. Buffalo beat the Dolphins on the road in Week 2, securing a 35-0 win that was the first of what is now six consecutive losses for Miami. For the Bills, it was the first of four straight wins, a streak that ended two weeks ago in a 34-31 Monday night loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Quarterback Josh Allen has dominated the Dolphins since entering the league in 2018. The Bills are 6-1 in the seven games Allen has started against Miami, and Allen has accounted for 22 touchdowns (19 passing, three rushing) in those contests. If he can lead Buffalo to a win today, it will be the first time in franchise history that they have won seven straight times against the Dolphins.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will make his third start since returning from an injury he suffered against Buffalo in September. In his last two games, he’s completed 75 percent of his passes for six touchdowns and three interceptions in losses against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons.
