Buffalo Bills Week 8 inactives vs. the Miami Dolphins

Which Bills join tight end Dawson Knox on the inactive list?

The Buffalo Bills ruled tight end Dawson Knox out for today’s game with the Miami Dolphins. That wasn’t a surprise, as Knox suffered a fracture in his right hand during Buffalo’s 34-31 loss to the Tennessee Titans two Mondays ago.

The Bills listed tackle Spencer Brown, who has started the last four games at right tackle, as doubtful this week due to a back injury he suffered while training. Brown, as well as Justin Zimmer (foot; questionable) were the only two players with an injury designation other than Knox.

Who’s in and who’s out for Buffalo this week? Here are the inactives.

RB Matt Breida

Another week, another healthy scratch for Buffalo’s third-string running back. Devin Singletary and Zack Moss will continue to split time and touches on offense, with veteran Taiwan Jones playing his role on special teams.

TE Dawson Knox

We knew this one already. Tommy Sweeney will start in Knox’s place. Kahale Warring, who was elevated from the practice squad yesterday, is also active.

T Spencer Brown

The back injury was too much for Brown to push through this week, so he’ll miss the game. We assume that Daryl Williams will kick back out to right tackle, with either Cody Ford or Ike Boettger joining the starting lineup at guard. Tommy Doyle is active as the swing tackle.

DE Boogie Basham

The Bills are going light on the edge this week, as A.J. Epenesa joins the top trio of Jerry Hughes, Greg Rousseau, and Mario Addison on the active list.

DE Efe Obada

The free-agent acquisition is a healthy scratch yet again this week.

DT Justin Zimmer

With a foot injury keeping Zimmer out, today is a chance for veteran Vernon Butler to play again. He’s been a healthy scratch in each of Buffalo’s last three games.
