It wasn’t their the best showing, but the Buffalo Bills still beat the Miami Dolphins, and they even managed to cover the 14.5-point spread. They didn’t come out of the bye week firing on all cylinders like we hoped for but a win is a win.
With this win the Bills completed the season sweep of the Fins and increased their win streak against their South Beach foes to seven, a record for the franchise. The last time the Bills lost to the Dolphins was Josh Allen’s first game against them. They had an opportunity to win that game when Allen threw a pass just slightly short of Charles Clay, who was wide open in the end zone.
The last time the Bills had a win streak against the Dolphins that lasted more than a season was the three straight games they won from 2013 to 2014 with EJ Manuel and Thad Lewis under center. The streak this current one beat was a six-game win streak that began in Jim Kelly’s sophomore year in the NFL (1987) and continued to 1989.
