Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October. During the team’s last four games, Bass went 10/10 on field goal attempts and 13/13 on extra point attempts, with 52 and 57 yard kicks in the mix. He was perfect even in rainy conditions against the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs.
This is the first time Bass won a Player of the Month award, and it’s the first time the Bills have won the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month since Brian Moorman won it in November 2006.
On the year, Bass is almost perfect, his only missed kick being a 53-yard attempt in the second game of the season. He’s 16 of 17 on field goals and 23 for 23 on extra point attempts. Overall, Bass ranks second in points scored behind New England Patriots kicker Nick Folk.
This is the first “player of the month” award for the Buffalo Bills in 2021. Last year, Josh Allen was a two-time Offensive Player of the Month selection.
