All our coverage: Bills face Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars in Duval

The Buffalo Bills (5-2) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6) face off this Sunday in Duval County, Florida. The Bills are looking to stack wins on their way to another playoff berth during their rebuild toward a Super Bowl, while the Jaguars are looking to establish their culture in the infancy of their own rebuild.

Buffalo’s first trip to the playoffs took place against the Jaguars in Jacksonville, but this team Jags couldn’t look much more different than that one led by Blake Bortles and Doug Marrone. The first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Trevor Lawrence, is under center for Jacksonville and their coaching staff is led by former college football icon Urban Meyer.

Jacksonville is 27th in scoring offense but 17th in yards. They are 30th in the NFL in turnovers, mostly on the arm of Lawrence. Their defense isn’t any better, coming in 28th in scoring and 26th in yards. They have the fewest turnovers generated by their defense and rank 28th against the pass.

Jacksonville’s only win came against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. It was the Jaguars’ first win since Week 1 of the 2020 season, a losing streak of 20 games.

The Jaguars haven’t scored more than 23 points in a game this season. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Buffalo doesn’t outscore them, but it’s the NFL, so any given Sunday.

The Bills are favored by 14.5 points, but Buffalo won as a 17-point underdog during Josh Allen’s rookie season.
