Buffalo Bills Week 9 inactives at the Jacksonville Jaguars

We knew two, but the rest have been announced

NFL: Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills declared three players out for this week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they subsequently placed one of those three players on injured reserve. Guard Jon Feliciano, who was declared out thanks to a calf injury, is that player. So while we know he isn’t playing today, we also know that he doesn’t count against the team’s inactive list.

Buffalo is down two other starters, as well, as tackle Spencer Brown (back) and tight end Dawson Knox (hand) are both out. That means that the Bills have two known entities among their inactives prior to the 11:30 deadline.

Which other players are inactive today? Here is Buffalo’s whole list.

RB Matt Breida

Nothing new here, as the Bills roll with Devin Singletary and Zack Moss for offensive purposes. Taiwan Jones is active for his role on special teams.

TE Dawson Knox

See above. He will miss his second straight game thanks to a hand fracture. Tommy Sweeney will start, and the Bills elevated Quintin Morris from the practice squad to serve as the backup.

T Spencer Brown

See above. Brown is out, so Tommy Doyle is active as the swing tackle. Buffalo starts another new offensive line combination, as Ike Boettger starts at left guard, Cody Ford starts at right guard, and Daryl Williams slides back outside to right tackle. Jamil Douglas was signed to the active roster to replace Feliciano while he’s on IR.

DE Boogie Basham

The Bills continue to leave the second of their rookie defensive ends inactive.

DE Efe Obada

Speaking of a player the team continues to leave inactive, Buffalo won’t have the veteran they acquired via free agency active, either. The team has settled into a pretty solid rhythm using Mario Addison, Jerry Hughes, Greg Rousseau, and A.J. Epenesa on the edge.

DT Justin Zimmer

This is a bit of a surprise, as Buffalo rolls with Harrison Phillips and Vernon Butler, each of whom has spent time as a healthy scratch, behind starters Star Lotulelei and Ed Oliver. Zimmer was on the injury report this week with a foot injury, but he practiced in full and did not carry an injury designation heading into the game, so this is a healthy scratch.
