NFL: Preseason-Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

Even though the Super Bowl has yet to take place, the NFL offseason got off to a fast start with a blockbuster trade on Saturday. If you haven’t heard, the Detroit Lions sent Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams for Jared Goff and a number of draft picks.

While this is not related to the Buffalo Bills, I took some time to share my thoughts on the trade—and how it feels good to have the Bills’ quarterback position settled with Josh Allen. Part of me had also expected Stafford to be a target of the New England Patriots, which obviously would have had an impact on the AFC East.
