Everyone I know, their mothers, and their grandmothers would love to sign J.J. Watt to their roster. The Buffalo Bills and the members of Bills Mafia are no exception. Since his release from the Houston Texans, reports are that Watt has received interest from more than a dozen teams. The Buffalo Bills could use the services of an elite pass rusher and game wrecker, and J.J. Watt is exactly that. But is J.J. Watt a luxury that we can afford? Most conversations around signing a player of this caliber has to do with the salary cap. But the argument could be that the biggest need of the offseason is the offensive line.
Another concern of mine is the direction of the offensive weapons for Josh Allen. A lot of conversations are being had regarding the possibility of cutting John Brown. Do we think Gabriel Davis has shown enough to step in that role and succeed? Do we re-sign Kenny Stills? What about everyone’s favorite or second favorite member of our practice squad, Duke Williams? These questions need to be answered in order for the team to maintain and grow upon the success for the 2020 season.
