This week, we prioritize the Buffalo Bills’ biggest needs this offseason, discuss the salary cap going forward, and someone wonders if Ed Oliver is on bust watch.
Here’s my quick list of priorities:
1. Offensive line
This is Cody Ford dependent. If the Bills like Ford as OT, their top priority is OG. Conversely if they like him at OG, OT heads to the top of the list.
2. Pass Rush
They don’t have a guy who can start opposite Tre’Davious White right now. Levi Wallace and Josh Norman are free agents.
4. Offensive guard
Quinton Spain, Brian Winters, Ike Boettger, and Jon Feliciano. Four of the five guys that started games at OG for the Bills are not under contract for the 2021 season.
If they had to, A.J. Klein and Tyrel Dodson could get the job done. It wouldn’t be pretty, but it’s not their biggest need.
Oh yeah, they don’t have a backup QB, they need another cornerback because two isn’t enough, more pass rush talent, more offensive line talent, Tyler Kroft is a free agent and Lee Smith is considering retirement so they have a tight end problem, their kick returner is a free agent in Andre Roberts and so is Isaiah McKenzie, and they definitely need another defensive tackle. Needs list is pretty long for an AFC Championship squad.
