Jones played in 13 games for the Bills in 2020 and saw just four snaps on offense. He made his living on special teams, playing in 54% or more of the team’s special teams snaps in every game he was active. He was seventh on the team in special teams snaps with 209 on the season.
Buffalo values special teams, as linebacker Tyler Matakevich just signed a contract extension, as well, to lead the teams units. He played 76% of the STs snaps in 2020 and Andre Smith also re-sign after playing 48%.
This will be Jones’s fourth season in Buffalo under Sean McDermott. He joined the squad in 2017 when McDermott was hired and played two seasons before a one-year trip to the Houston Texans and a return to Orchard Park.
