Fans of the Buffalo Bills have been weighing in each week, making their selection for Mocking The Bills. It is now time for the third round of the draft, with four options to choose from.
Last week the readers selected Alex Leatherwood, an offensive lineman from Alabama. It was a close vote, as Leatherwood (receiving 39 percent of the vote) was barely the choice over cornerback Ifeatu Melifonwu (38 percent) from Syracuse. Brevin Jordan (14 percent) and Rondale Moore (9 percent) were not serious contenders according to our readers.
Leatherwood now joins LB Zaven Collins as members of the Buffalo Bills, and you can vote on the third-round selection below.
Jabril Cox LB LSU
While Collins fits a role similar to that of Lorenzo Alexander, Cox would be a more natural fit to replace Matt Milano. He is good in coverage and could be an asset in passing down situations for the Bills.
Tyler Shelvin DL LSU
The future of Star Lotulelei remains up in the air for the Bills, as the defensive tackle opted out of the 2020 season. Shelvin could be a replacement at the one-technique, as a space-eating tackle that Buffalo missed along the defensive line last season.
Trill Williams CB Syracuse
Stop me if you have heard this one before, but the Bills likely need to address the CB2 position. Williams is another Syracuse product who would bring some much-needed athleticism to the position.
Patrick Jones II EDGE Pittsburgh
If the Bills fail to address the pass rush in free agency, someone like Jones could be an option in the draft. Consider Jones a likely option on obvious passing downs as a rookie, who could develop into an eventual starter.
