Buffalo Bills Links, 5/6: Winners and losers on Buffalo’s roster

Plus, have the Bills closed the gap on the Chiefs?

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

In today’s edition of the Buffalo Bills daily links, we take a look at which current members of the Bills were winners based on who Buffalo drafted — cornerbacks Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson, running backs Zack Moss and Devin Singletary, center Mitch Morse — and which ones were losers — defensive ends Darryl Johnson, Efe Obada, Mike Love, and Bryan Cox Jr., wide receiver/returner Isaiah McKenzie, and swing tackle Bobby Hart among others.

We also take a look at the way-too-early 53-man roster projections to see who could make the roster and who could be on the outside looking in, and we ask whether the moves made in the draft by general manager Brandon Beane were enough to close the gap on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.

We discuss the news that the Bills picked up the fifth-year options on quarterback Josh Allen and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, hear why Beane says he’s “in the shopping market” as he looks to add more pieces to this championship-caliber roster, explore Beane’s comments that in order to bring about a return to normalcy he would cut players who hadn’t received the COVID-19 vaccination, and more!
