Plays That Defined 2020 Tournament: Round Three—Home Games

Down to four in the conference

Half of the field has been eliminated and we’re down to four home plays as we seek to define the 2020 season through the lens of a single moment. As a reminder, vote for the play that best tells the story of the year, not necessarily the “best” play. Let’s get to it!

Baltimore Ravens—Taron Johnson Interception

vs.

LA Rams—Cole Beasley first down

It’s defense vs. offense in our first home game matchup. Taron Johnson’s interception is a memory that will be etched into the minds of Bills fans for a lifetime. It’s hard to find a better single play that captures the pure excitement of the season. On the other hand, the steady grind of the offense is what routinely took them places. Learning to take first downs, like this one from Cole Beasley, for granted has been a new experience for us.

New England Patriots—Justin Zimmer forced fumble

vs.

Pittsburgh Steelers—Taron Johnson Interception

In our second match we feature defense vs. defense. In order to take the division, the old nemesis stood in their way. The Patriots. A promising start sputtered and it looked like the Bills would fall again. And then Justin Zimmer happened. The torch wasn’t passed. It was taken. And of course we can’t have a contest that doesn’t feature Taron Johnson with a preposterously long pick-six can we?
