There is plenty to share in this week’s episode of Four Downs, as fans of the Buffalo Bills have fun speculating about the possibility of acquiring Julio Jones. You can find that and much more in today’s edition.
Would the Bills be a fit for Julio Jones?
Fans across the NFL are focused on Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, and where he might end up playing in 2021. A recent report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler (courtesy of NYUP.com’s Ryan Talbot), indicates that Jones wants to go to a contender with a big-armed quarterback. the Buffalo Bills certainly fit that description, but would the team really make a trade for the star receiver? While I don’t think it will happen, it’s certainly fun to think about Jones lining up in Buffalo’s offense.
Let’s Make It Official
The Bills officially inked first-round pick Gregory Rousseau to his rookie contract earlier this week, for four years and $11.37 million guaranteed. Gone are the days of sweating out when first-round picks would sign their deals, leading to the inevitable holdouts across the league. I am excited to see how Rousseau looks during training camp, which will be here before we know it.
Pod of the Week
One of my favorite listens this week came from Bruce Nolan, as he went in depth on the Bills’ backfield. He spent the time specifically going through the approach of the McBeane era in Buffalo, while also addressing the historical moves around the position with the Carolina Panthers. If you haven’t caught this episode yet, you can find it here.
Catching up with ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques
If you haven’t checked out the Buffalo Rumblings YouTube channel yet, I would highly recommend that you do. J. Spence caught up with Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN earlier in the week. The duo caught up on everything Bills, and the speculation around Julio Jones. You can watch the segment below.
