Week 17: Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills

Hello everyone! Welcome to “Pick your favorite touchdown week!” As a heads-up, it’ll probably feature Isaiah McKenzie. Or maybe you prefer the backups running wild? What a great game! How often can you take a look at a 56-26 game and sincerely say “It wasn’t as close as it looked?” Remember that Miami was still fighting for a playoff spot and the Bills rested starters because their seeding was already set in stone. What a great game!

Isaiah McKenzie receiving touchdown (Q2, 12:09)

This was the first of three touchdowns for Isaiah McKenzie. In one quarter. Actually in about seven minutes of game time. This play is a good stand-in for the Bills’ passing game. Even featuring McKenzie as much as they did AND pulling starters midway through, Josh Allen set the team record for passing yards in a season. Stefon Diggs got enough yards to take home the receiving yards title for the year.

Isaiah McKenzie touchdown return (Q2, 5:22)

This 84-yard return for another touchdown was McKenzie’s third on the day—and one heck of a fun ride.

Josh Norman interception return touchdown (Q3, 8:20)

We can’t leave out the defense. Buffalo generated four turnovers, including this one by Josh Norman returned for a touchdown. While 26 points doesn’t sound like a great defensive effort, I’d reiterate that the Bills weren’t playing starters the whole game and Miami had a LOT to play for. Also, 13 pts (half the Dolphins’ total) came in the fourth quarter when the game was long decided.

Antonio Williams rushing touchdown (Q4, 13:44)

By this time Buffalo was already way ahead and seemed to be trying to get out as healthy as possible. They still couldn’t be stopped. Antonio Williams found a lane and took it all the way in.

Matt Barkley to Gabriel Davis touchdown (Q4, 6:18)

Aside from this pass, Matt Barkley attempted just 12 others. They weren’t exactly going pass happy in the second half. That makes this deep shot even more interesting. If you can get more interesting than a kill shot when you’re up four scores in the fourth quarter that is to say. Gabriel Davis tracked this perfectly and put the Bills up by five scores.
