Buffalo Bills Links, 7/19: Previewing the CB2 battle

Plus, which Bills face the toughest path to a spot on the 53-man roster?

Every year since he made the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Alabama, cornerback Levi Wallace has had to fight for his job as Buffalo’s starter opposite All-Pro Tre’Davious White.

In today’s edition of the Bills daily links, we take a closer look at the battle to win the CB2 job, and ponder whether Wallace can hold off this year’s crop of challengers, led by second-year pro Dane Jackson.

We also take a closer look at rookie edge rushers Greg Rousseau and Carlos “Boogie” Basham Jr. to see if they could come in and win NFL Rookie of the Year and examine the potential for members of the 2019 NFL Draft class like tight end Dawson Knox, defensive tackle Ed Oliver, guard Cody Ford, and running back Devin Singletary.

We discuss why cornerback Taron Johnson is entering a pivotal year in Buffalo’s secondary, offer up a list of five Bills facing the most dauting path to a spot on the 53-man roster, preview Buffalo’s linebackers, explore whether the offensive line can repeat its successes in pass protection from 2020, and much more!
