Stefon Diggs sitting out of Buffalo Bills practice; full injury report

The Buffalo Bills have several starters sidelined near the beginning of training camp. Another very important piece of the puzzle joined them on Friday/Saturday.

All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs sat out the second half of practice on Friday and did not practice on Saturday. He was out on the field dancing and throwing balls to fans in the stands, so we’re pretty sure it’s nothing serious, but we’re noting it nonetheless.

Jacob Hollister, locked in a fight with Dawson Knox for reps at tight end, injured his back during the first few practices and is still out. Buffalo signed Bug Howard as an injury replacement.

Starting defensive end Jerry Hughes opened training camp on the Non-Football Injury List following a calf strain during his offseason prep. He’ll be ready to go at some point in August, but the Bills have plenty of young guns who could use the camp reps.

On the Reserve/COVID-19 list are starting left tackle Dion Dawkins and potential starting guard Ike Boettger. Third-round pick Spencer Brown has been playing for Dawkins while Cody Ford has been getting Boettger’s reps. The Bills signed two depth options this week, as well.
