Two Buffalo Bills in first batch of 2021 NFL 100 players

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

The NFL has begun releasing their NFL 100 series prior to the 2021 season and two Buffalo Bills were among the first batch of honorees. At 96 was wide receiver Cole Beasley and 95 was cornerback Tre’Davious White.

Last year, White was 47th on the NFL 100 list after an All-Pro season. He fell back after his 2020 season after he was “only” named second-team All-Pro with his second straight Pro Bowl nod. Part of it is as simple as interception numbers; in 2019 he led the league in that stat, catching eyes.

Beasley wasn’t on the list in 2020. He earned a single All-Pro vote from Peter King of NBC Sports as the best slot receiver in the game a year ago, which was enough to net him second-team honors.

The Bills will surely have two more players on the list in receiver Stefon Diggs and quarterback Josh Allen. The Top 40 has yet to be revealed.
