The Buffalo Bills have one of the oldest stadiums in the NFL, with current Highmark Stadium/New Era Field/Ralph Wilson Stadium/Rich Stadium debuting in 1973. Earlier this summer, news came out that the Bills were planning on building a new, open-air stadium in Orchard Park, and that the Pegulas were going to ask for the stadium to be fully funded by the taxpayers.

In today’s edition of the Bills daily links, we hear the latest on the new stadium from Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, who is among the prominent officials involved in negotiations with the team over a new stadium. Poloncarz responded to speculation the franchise would relocate if a deal can’t be negotiated for public funds, stating “we will get a deal done. It’s just got to be a fair deal for all.”

Turning our attention to the playing field, with the first week of training camp in the books, we examine which Bills are on the rise — including edge rusher Greg Rousseau, wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie, defensive end A.J. Epenesa, and running back Matt Breida — and which Bills are on the decline — including cornerback Dane Jackson, tight end Jacob Hollister, and offensive lineman Bobby Hart.

We also get to know the newest member of Buffalo’s offensive line, Caleb Benenoch, discuss how wideout Jake Kumerow is doing his part to earn a spot on the 53-man roster, learn why neither Buffalo’s All Pro quarterback, Josh Allen, nor Bills management are concerned about hammering out a long-term contract extension before the season starts, and more!
