Preseason predictions in NFL media circles favoring Buffalo Bills

Bills Mafia has a lot of believers.

Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season is here, which means time is running out to submit those preseason predictions. These predictions could end up meaning you’ll be able to brag to all of your friends and family that you told them so. In the case of the Buffalo Bills, there have been two predictions that continually involve the team. The first is that the Bills will end up making the Super Bowl and become champions. The other is that quarterback Josh Allen will win the MVP award after finishing runner-up last season. Let’s take a look at the people making these claims.

From NFL.com, Gennaro Filice, Adam Schein, and Matt Smith have the Bills winning the Super Bowl, the common reason is that Josh Allen will make the final steps to becoming elite along with another excellent year on the sidelines from head coach Sean McDermott. Those three also predicted Allen to win the MVP award along with Cynthia Frelund, Kevin Patra, and Lance Zierlein.

From CBS Sports, Pete Prisco, Tyler Sullivan, Chris Trapasso, and Ryan Wilson all have the Bills raising the Lombardi trophy at the end of the season. An interesting note with their predictions is that none of them picked Josh Allen to win the regular-season MVP award. Those individuals are Will Brinson, John Breech, and Josh Edwards.

Well-known writer Peter King does have Buffalo making it to the Super Bowl but is predicting them to lose to the Los Angeles Rams. Even though the defense was sub-par at times last season, King has faith that Sean McDermott will be able to rally the troops and get them back on track. He also expects Allen to finish second to Matthew Stafford in MVP voting.

Finally the staff over at Bleacher Report predicts the Bills to win the Super Bowl with Josh Allen winning the MVP (Mahomes finished with the same amount of writer votes).

Then there is this:
