After consecutive pedestrian performances to start the season in which he was outplayed by quarterbacks such as Sam Darnold and Teddy Bridgewater, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen emphatically changed the narrative... and the podcast hosts rejoiced.
For the first time in the 2021 season Allen looked like he did in 2020 when he finished second in MVP voting. Jamie D’Amico and Big Chris Newton provide insight on the adjustments Allen made to work out the kinks and what it means for the rest of the season.
Looking back at the game against the Washington Football Team, the discussion includes Dawson Knox not only being a reliable target, but also making a difficult grab for a touchdown. Plus Zack Moss running the ball hard and potentially setting himself up for more playing time going forward.
As Big Newt says, though, they kept it real. In this case the hosts address that the Bills’ defensive line and pass rush didn’t pick up the same type of stats as in the previous games. They also talk about Big Newt’s experience playing on special teams to provide thoughts on what might have gone wrong on the kickoff that was recovered by Washington.
