In 2019, the Buffalo Bills’ season ended in the Wild Card round against the Houston Texans. Running back Taiwan Jones took an overtime pass from DeShaun Watson into field goal range, where Bill O’Brien’s team kicked the winning field goal.
But Watson is benched, accused of several counts of sexual assault and misconduct. O’Brien is gone after friction within the organization. And Jones is back in Buffalo as a special teams ace.
Former Bills QB coach David Culley is the new Texans head coach. Old friend Tyrod Taylor replaced Watson, but even Taylor is out after suffering a hamstring injury. Instead it’s third-round pick David Mills out of Stanford helming Houston for the second time in his three-game career.
Bills QB Josh Allen is coming off a get-right performance. The Bills’ defense has been stellar all year. Houston has been the opposite, though they won in Week 1 against Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars with Taylor in the lineup.
Buffalo is favored by 17 points and it would be a huge upset if they lost to Houston. Beat the teams you’re supposed to beat. Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.
