Jon Feliciano, Taron Johnson could both miss game vs. Texans

The Thursday injury report was very unkind to the Buffalo Bills this week as two starters were downgraded from Wednesday to Thursday. Both guard Jon Feliciano and cornerback Taron Johnson were limited Wednesday but did not practice Thursday.

Feliciano’s is the most concerning as he was diagnosed with a concussion. It apparently happened during Wednesday’s practice and because of the necessary turnaround time, he won’t be able to play on Sunday. it’s likely that Ike Boettger will get his first start of the season. We may even see a Jamil Douglas call up from the practice squad.

Johnson is dealing with a groin injury. He was able to play on Sunday but he’s been dealing with it for more than a week now. If he can’t go, Cam Lewis would be the most likely practice squad call up or possibly Rachad Wildgoose.

Compounding matters, Jordan Poyer missed his second straight day of practice, as well. Jaquan Johnson is next in line for that spot with Damar Hamlin also on the roster. Josh Thomas is available as a call up. Luckily, Micah Hyde was limited on Wednesday but a full participant Thursday.

The Bills haven’t used any practice squad call ups this season but under the COVID-19 rules, two players can come to the active roster for game day and revert back to the practice squad.
